1. *Optional: Print this page to save a lot of switching around.
- Use the Password Holders HotKey to show the Password Entry Block.
- Since no password has been installed just press "Enter". The setup folder will open.
- Click on the tab that says "Set Password". Note: Passwords are case sensitive.
- Enter your password into the two boxes provided and click on "Record Password". You will get a message box telling you that your password has been recorded or an error message telling you to re-enter your passwords. After you have clicked OK on the message box you will need your password whenever you open PcGuard Setup.
- Click on the tab labeled "Time Set". Click on the button that says "Click Here to Enable Time Set changes".
- Read the note printed in Red. Enter the Start Hour and Minutes and the Stop Hour and Minutes. This is the Time range that the computer will operate within.
- Press the button labeled "Press Here to Save Your Settings". A message box will display telling you that your settings have been saved. Press OK!
- Press the large button at the bottom of the folder that says "Close".
- You are finished! The program will only allow usage of the computer in the time range you have entered. A log is being kept of all viewed pages and the built in porn and security filters are active. Please read the rest of the Help pages for more details and features.
This quick setup has assumed that you will select the default values for all of the possible settings. Read the rest of the help files to learn how to add your own additional filtering and how to allow non-password users to add their own additional filtering. You may also set your own paths for the Filtering and Log files.
